WPH Foot & Ankle Surgical Residency welcomes the incoming 1st year residents: Stephanie Campbell, Philip John Carolin, Matt Cikra, and Garrett Parker Peresko. So glad to have them join our family.

My name is Stephanie Campbell.  I grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada and attended UNLV, where I graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology. I attended Western University of Health Sciences serving as the American Podiatric Medical Student Association Delegate for my class. I started at West Penn hospital as a core student during my fourth year. I am so pleased that I was able to continue my training at West Penn Hospital, Foot & Ankle Residency Program. I have been a Steeler’s fan my whole life so it is such a thrill to live here in Pittsburgh. In my spare time I also enjoy comedy shows, yoga and going out with friends. When I go home, I love taking my dog to our favorite local coffee shop.

My name is Philip “John” Carolin; I was born in Boise Idaho, but spent my childhood in both Tucson, Arizona and Stillwater, Oklahoma.  After graduating Stillwater High School, I obtained my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a double minor in Biochemistry and Inorganic Chemistry, graduating Cum Laude from Oklahoma State University.  I then obtained my medical degree in Cleveland, Ohio from Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine, where I graduated in the top 5% of my class.  My hobbies include guitar, sketching and painting, kayaking and my family dogs.

My name is Matt Joseph Cikra I was born and raised in sunny Southern California. I was raised by my loving parents alongside my wonderful little sister. We were raised to be adventurous and were taught to surf at a young age. We spent all of our free time at the beach and am grateful for it. I volunteered at my local hospital while in high school, hoping that someday I would have a career in Medicine. I graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a B.A., then I went on to attend Western University of Health Sciences, College of Podiatric Medicine, where I received my Doctorate in May of 2018. While in Podiatry school I married my beautiful wife, who is currently pursuing her doctorate. I have been very lucky to be given the opportunity to learn and train from some of the most coveted visionaries in our field. I am honored to be at this institution with its rich history and progressive education.

My name is Garrett “Parker” Peresko; I am one of the new Foot and Ankle Surgery residents here at West Penn Hospital.  I was born in Wichita, KS and, shortly after, moved to Ponca City, Oklahoma. I attended Northern Oklahoma College while finishing high school then transferred to Oklahoma State University to complete my undergraduate curriculum with degrees in Business Administration and the Biological Sciences and minoring in Microbiology. After taking a year off of school to work in business, I applied to the Western University of Health Sciences, College of Podiatric Medicine. When I’m not spending time with family and friends I enjoy watching as many movies as I can, attempting to survive cooking new cuisine, cheering wildly during March Madness, and of course, consuming dangerous amounts of Nachos. I couldn’t be more excited to join the West Penn family and look forward to all the future has to offer!
