Alumni Update Letter May 2013

It was great seeing all of the Alumni who participated in the 2013 ACFAS event in Las Vegas, NV. We had a large turnout at the annual Alumni Reception at the House of Blues. Pictures and our new logo are posted below. Attached you will find the minutes from the business meeting held prior to the reception.

We hope that we continue to fulfill our “Mission”:

The Western Pennsylvania Foot & Ankle Society is a collaborative organization comprised of surgeons dedicated to the advancement of foot and ankle surgery. The Society’s initiatives focus on developing future leaders, stimulating research, supporting education and cultivating innovation in the field of foot and ankle surgery

As we continue to grow, we hope that more Alumni will be able to contribute to the Society. Presently 17/97+ Alumni have made contributions and donations. Your donations and contributions are vital to the start-up costs and maintenance costs.

There are links to two forms, one is the 2013 Alumni Membership Invoice and the other is the WPFAS Donation Form. For accounting purposes the Membership Fee and Donations need to be registered separately.

Please let me know if you have any questions. I may be reached at: footbiochemistry@hotmail.com. You may also contact Beth Sheedy at 412-688-7578 or bsheedy@wpahs.org.

Thank you for your continued support.

Fraternally Yours,

Robert Joseph, DPM, Ph.D., FACFAS

President, West Penn Foot & Ankle Society

ACFAS BoD Nominations

Alumni and Friends,
It is our pleasure to inform you of another graduate being nominated for the Board of Directors of the ACFAS.
Chris Reeves has been the Chair of the Annual Meeting for the last two years and now he has an opportunity to be elected to the Board. Chris will follow Robert Mendicino, Mike Lee and Jordon Grossman all board members and past or current presidents.
Please support Chris and vote for him during this election, ballots will be coming out November 5, 2012.
Although you will have the ability to vote for two of the three candidates, voting for only him and no additional candidate could possibly increase his odds. We look forward to having continued representation of our alumni association on the ACFAS leadership.
This is a proud moment for us.
Catz and Mendo
