Paul J. Shromoff, DPM

Paul Jason Shromoff, 55, of Goose Creek, South Carolina passed away on October 15, 2023. He was born on October 30, 1967 in Two Harbors, Minnesota to Jon Richard Shromoff and Dorothy Adele (Kari) Shromoff.

Paul graduated from high school in 1986 in Two Harbors MN and The University of Minnesota Duluth, where he was presented the Outstanding Scholar Athlete award in 1990. He graduated with distinction (Valedictorian) from the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences with a degree of Doctor of Podiatric Medicine in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1994 followed by a three-year residency in Pittsburgh, PA. He was a member of the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, American Podiatric Medical Association and the South Carolina Podiatric Medical Association. He was employed by Physicians Footcare of Summerville, SC.

Paul loved to cook and enjoyed sharing his meals with family and friends. He had a sense of humor that had us laughing at the least expected moment. He waited for weekends to watch sports, especially those of his home state of MN, those being the Vikings, Twins and Wild. His favorite sport was golf, (a 3 handicap) which he excelled in in his four years at UMD. Mostly, Paul loved his family and he could often be found watching the games with his two sons and brother. He also loved seeing his daughter performing dance, which she did for many years from the age of three.

He is survived by sons Tyler Shromoff and Connor Shromoff, daughter Nicole (Nicki) Shromoff, the mother of his children Kimberly (Larson) Shromoff, his brother Ryan Shromoff (Tara) and mother Dorothy Shromoff (Mike Suggs), aunts, uncles, niece, nephews, cousins as well as many friends He was preceded in death by his father Jon Shromoff, and father-in-law Kenneth Larson and mother-in-law JoAnn Larson, grandparents Edward and Ingrid Kari and Arnold and Doris Mesna. He will be sorely missed by his family, friends and patients.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice.

A Celebration of Life will be held on November 11*, with the place and time posted at a later date.
