March 2022 Program Briefing
March 1, 2022
Our goal for this inaugural Program Briefing is to centralize communication and share the latest news and activities taking place within the West Penn Residency Training Program.
We are thrilled to welcome three new residents next month! Jacob Gross, DPM, Isaac Kline, DPM, and Arina Litarov, DPM will be joining the training program in July 2022.
Several of our recent graduates have returned to practice in the Western Pennsylvania region. Darrick Dominick, DPM, Geoff Cady, DPM, and Sham Persaud, DPM graduated from our program, completed their fellowship training and will soon be serving as faculty within the training program. We are confident that they will bring a diversity of ideas and new techniques to the program.

We want to thank our faculty members who worked so hard on behalf of our residents. Not only are they phenomenal surgeons who care about their patients, they’re excellent educators who provide mentorship to our residents. We will begin introducing our faculty members in my next program update.
Not only do we teach our residents what to expect in the field of medicine, we strongly encourage them to stay informed on what’s happening in the world. If you enjoy podcasts, we recommend you listen to GoodFellows (www.hoover.org › goodfellows). It’s a weekly Hoover Institution broadcast featuring senior fellows John Cochrane, Niall Ferguson, and H.R. McMaster. They discuss social, economic, and geostrategic issues taking place around the world and how the affects on America.
We recently shared the article (below) with our residents – you may find it helpful as you approach patients in your practice.
Finally, we strongly encourage you to visit the new website! Kelsey Lee, our marketing consultant, and the board of directors spent a lot of time and effort creating a user-friendly, engaging website. Your suggestions/feedback is important to us, so please let us know if you have any questions or concerns. You can find the latest Residency Training Program updates & information on the website, and use it as a recruiting tool for students interested in our program.
